The aim of this document is to provide guidance on the detection, prevention, assessment and management of moisture lesions caused by incontinence and perspiration. It is aimed at all health and social care professionals directly involved with patients who may be at risk of developing moisture lesions. The recommendations can be implemented in the hospital, community and care settings.
The best practice statement on the prevention and management of moisture lesions has been written in collaboration with the All Wales Tissue Viability Nurse Forum and the All Wales Continence Forum.
