New eczema charity reaches out to children in ScotlandEczema Outreach Scotland was established last year with the aim of offering professional advice on services and providing personal support for people with eczema, as well as parents whose children suffer from the condition.

The charity takes children with eczema on social outings to help build their confidence and esteem, and also raises public awareness of the condition through fundraising events and roadshows.

The group's primary aim, according to their website, is to help 'children with eczema through a peer-support service, a national initiative which helps our young families create new friendships, access public services that meet their needs or simply talk to someone who cares and understands them'.

Over 15,000 children in Scotland have eczema. Eczema Outreach Scotland is looking for volunteers and donations to support their activities.
