KerraMax becomes KerraMax CareSuper absorbent wound care dressing KerraMax has undergone some key changes and is now listed as KerraMax Care, with a new logo and packaging.

Developed by Crawford Healthcare, the KerraMax Care super-absorbent dressings differ from other similar dressings by providing a unique wicking layer, which absorbs and spreads exudate throughout the dressing, locking it away so that it doesn’t leak or drip. In addition a soft, non woven outer material improves comfort and conformability with a heat sealed border to prevent leakage.

The new branding takes a more emotive stance, recognising that caring for patients is just as important as physically changing a dressing.

Caroline Green, marketing manager for KerraMax Care, said: “The emotional aspects of caring for patients are equally important to the physical aspect of simply changing a dressing.

“At KerraMax Care, we ensure our products are designed to help the overall care that nurses and healthcare professionals can offer their patients – which is why we’ve also added ‘Care’ to our product name.”

KerraMax Care has been re-classified on the Drug Tariff and can now be located under “dressings: wound management – protease modulating matrix”.

The packaging and logo have changed to represent the new product message, but the PIP codes will stay the same.

KerraMax is no longer available from wholesale, only KerraMax Care will be supplied.
