Innovative Silhouette electronic wound assessment technology to be launched at HarrogateThe Silhouette™ Product Suite (ARANZ Medical) is a 3D digital imaging and electronic wound information management system that is being presented at the 2011 Wounds UK conference, 14–16 November in Harrogate.

Silhouette is a system for electronic wound assessment, data management and reporting for robust outcomes management in wound care. Point-of-care wound assessment devices SilhouetteMobileTM, SilhouetteStarTM + SilhouetteConnectTM and a central information database called SilhouetteCentralTM all support clinicians in achieving reliable and efficient wound evaluations. Using digital images, measurements and assessment notes, this new technology manages data on a centralised database for easy patient review and analyses wound assessment data.

'Silhouette gives NHS Trusts and other healthcare provider organisations, the scope to move towards electronic assessment and management of wound information as part of their wound care clinical pathway,' said Achala Patel, Director of Entec Health Limited, an appointed sales and marketing partner for ARANZ Medical in the UK. 'Silhouette supports enhanced quality of clinical practice, improved effectiveness and higher productivity for wound assessment and outcomes management.'
