Following the huge success of our inaugural conference in Cape Town, South Africa in 2011, we are delighted to announce that Wounds International is supporting the Malaysian Society of Wound Care Professionals (MSWCP) in its development of an international wound care conference in one of Asia's most vibrant and exciting destinations – Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.

The conference will focus on advances in wound care and will meet the continuing educational needs of healthcare professionals delivering care in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. The programme will build on current wound care knowledge and skills by bringing together international and local clinicians to share their experiences and best practice in this hugely important area of healthcare.

The MSWCP, led by President Dr Harikrishna K R Nair, will be hosting this conference and Wounds International is honoured to be involved in Asia's biggest and most exciting wound care event of 2013. The MSWCP will also be collaborating with other wound care and clinical societies throughout the Asia-Pacific region to encourage delegates to attend.

Kuala Lumpur, known as KL, is one of Asia's most iconic destinations. Delegates will find the city hugely welcoming – not only is it friendly and charming, but its warm climate and fantastic scenery make it an aspirational destination.

Development of the programme for the event is well underway and this will be published in due course. In the meantime however, should you wish to review the content delivered at our 2011 conference in Cape Town, South Africa, please click here to visit our virtual conference website where you can view some of the sessions.
