Education

The University of Worcester currently offers two modules in the clinical speciality of Tissue Viability:

The Assessment and Management of Acute and Chronic Wounds – 20 credits at level 6

The Assessment and Management of Leg Ulcers –  20 credits at level 6

The modules are placed within the Professional Development for Health Sciences (PDHS) programme or the BSc Professional Development for Practice depending on the pathway chosen by the student.

Students who successfully complete both the Assessment and Management of Acute and Chronic Wounds and The assessment and Management of Leg Ulcers will be eligible for the University Advanced Diploma in Tissue Viability

The University of Worcester has an online learning facility (Blackboard) which can be accessed off site.

From May 2014 the university will also offer a module relating to the Prevention, Assessment and Management of Pressure Ulcers
