Postgraduate Cert/Diploma/MSc Wound Healing and Tissue Repair
The course has attracted healthcare professionals from the field of nursing, medicine, pharmacy, podiatry and the pharmaceutical industry. It offers the opportunity of studying at a distance alongside an international group of professionals from countries such as Holland, America, Canada, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and New Zealand. Students are required to attend the University campus once yearly only and it is imperative they have access to on-line facilities at home/work. All course content and module workbooks are available via the student home page on the WHRU web-site. Students may exit with a Postgraduate Certificate after 1 year and Postgraduate Diploma at completion of Year 2.

Level 3 tissue Viability Foundation Modules:- Foundation in Leg Ulcer Management, Pressure Ulcer Management and Diabetic Foot Ulcer Management
These are designed to introduce the non-graduate student to degree-level study. Each module is 16 weeks in length giving 30 credits at Level 3, offered as web-based distance learning stand-alone modules. Primarily targeted for nurses, they have a greater emphasis on clinical application and will provide students with an introduction to some of the module content which is covered in greater depth in the Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Wound Healing and Tissue Repair. The overall aim of each module is to promote the understanding of the management of patients with these wound types enabling the student to extend their knowledge and develop strategies to improve the patients outcome and quality of care.
