Education

We have established a Tissue Viability Practice Development Unit (TVPDU), to ensure that those caring for individuals have the knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide high quality, evidence-based care. The TVPDU has and continues to develop education provision to meet the needs of patients, carers, employers, industry and staff.

  • Masterclasses for specialist practitioners and subject to validation, a taught doctorate in the field will be available from September 2013.
  • Staff from the unit are working together with industry partners to assist them in the evaluation of their products and with their education provision.
  • The TVPDU will undertake audit activity and research.
