Awards

Wounds UK are pleased to present the call for abstracts for the 2013 Wounds UK Annual Conference, held at the Harrogate International Centre. This form describes how to enter a poster or free paper, and contains details of the Wounds UK Award for Excellence 2013.

Entries for the poster exhibition and free paper session require you to submit an abstract entry. To simplify the process, you will only have to complete one entry, on which you will need to indicate whether you wish your entry to be considered for a poster, free paper, or both. Every entry received will automatically be considered for the Wounds UK award for Excellence 2013.

The winner of the Wounds UK Award for Excellence will receive a free 3-day delegate pass with entrance to the gala dinner, and be required to present a five-minute, free paper-style presentation during the conference.

The free paper sessions are crucial to the success of the Wounds UK Annual Conference, showcasing the extraordinary work that wound care clinicians are carrying out around the UK. Successful entrants will receive a free 3-day delegate pass with entrance to the gala dinner, and be required to present their work to delegates for five minutes, in the Main Auditorium, on Wednesday 13th November. Free paper presenters are also offered a place in the poster exhibition.

The poster exhibition is the perfect forum for wound care clinicians to exhibit their work at a world-renowned wound care conference. Poster exhibitors receive a discounted attendance rate at the event.

Abstracts will be reviewed by our judging panel who will be looking to accept submissions that display high levels of innovation, relevance to current and/or best practice and high quality data/evidence.

Deadline for submissions is Friday 30th August 2013. Please send all entries to enquiries@woundsgroup.com.

If your abstract is accepted you will be notified by Friday 4th October 2013.

By submitting your abstract you are confirming that, if accepted, you are able to attend the conference and display your poster (posters must be displayed by Monday 11th November) or present your paper (presentation date – Wednesday 13th November). In the case of a successful awards entry, you will be required to prepare a five-minute free paper highlighting your work.
