Wound Pain Management Using ActiFormCoolŽ

Activa

Last year's seminars were so well received by healthcare professionals it is now in its second year.

Wound pain is a distressing area for both patient and healthcare professional alike, chronic pain, particularly with leg ulcers, need not be part and parcel of having an ulcer. ActiFormCoolŽ has been shown to relieve pain in many leg ulcer patients. Nurses using the dressing have been echoing the view of the RCS 1990 that "failure to relieve pain is morally and ethically unacceptable".

The speakers from both the scientific community and clinicians explain how the dressing works and how it differs from previous sheet hydrogels, other speakers discuss their experiences of painful wounds and when they have found ActiFormCoolŽ beneficial.

Speakers include:

  • Prof. Keith Harding
